DON'T
bookbinding 101
bookbinding
For a first attempt, I decided to do something SUPER simple. I made this pamphlet using the saddle stitch method of bookbinding.

Check out Sea Lemon's tutorial below (Sea Lemon in general is an amazing channel to learn everything you need to know about bookbinding. Her videos are also very relaxing to watch and incredibly well produced).
Materials:

1. I ordered a leather repair toolkit. This contained a bunch of stuff you need for bookbinding: an awl, waxed thread, and a variety of needles. The quality of the products is great and it was only 15 Euros or so. You can buy it from bol over here. If you are outside the Netherlands, I did see alternatives available over on Amazon, but I would encourage you to support a local store instead.

2. Fifty odd sheets of A4 paper from a local printshop. That only cost me 4 cents per piece.

3. A wooden ruler, pencils, cardboard (for the book cover) and scissors from this craft store chain in The Netherlands called Pipoos. If you can't find cardboard, you can repurpose a box of corn flakes or any other cardboard as a book cover.
